About School

St. Xavier’s School, Mansa, is affiliated to the registered society of Pilar, Punjab - Haryana, a branch of the society of Pilar, Goa. The society of Pilar was invited at Mansa by the Bishop of Simla-Chandigarh Diocese and it runs an educational institution on behalf of Simla-Chandigarh Diocese.

St. Xavier’s school was opened in 2001, as a response to the pressing educational need of the town of Mansa and surrounding villages. The aim of the school is not only to prepare the students academically, but also to cater to the all-round development of the child, especially the moral and intellectual qualities. In this way, the school strives to draw out the best from each individual enable its pupil to blossom into mature citizens of our Country. The school is owned and managed by a religious group which is a legitimate right provided for minority communities in our constitution.

The school offers diverse academic facilities. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education. The programme of studies is in accordance with the syllabus laid down by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. While the medium of instruction is English, the school also lays special emphasis on teaching of Punjabi and Hindi as additional languages. It has introduced computer science, music and dance as part of curriculum and also smart class in the school. It is a technology oriented initiative for school. It provides tools and content for interactive self-paced learning by students, as well as rich media presentations for teacher led classroom learning. The content available consists of pedagogically sound and visually rich curriculum resources mapped and customized as per the school’s Scheme of work. This content can be streamed into the classroom and shown by teachers in the classroom to make abstract concepts real. The school also has well equipped laboratories and library. It also gives special emphasis on sports and has well maintained Football, Volleyball, Netball grounds.
